At the Annual General Meeting held recently, the Korea-Oceania Friendship Society (KOFS) and Korea-Australia Friendship and Cultural Society (KAFCS) have by-elected and reelected the leading officials of their societies.
Mr So Ho Won, Vice-Chairman of the Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries of the DPRK (CCRFC), was elected as a Chairman of the Korea-Oceania Friendship Society and Korea-Australia Friendship and Cultural Society. In the meantime, Mr Pak Kyong Il and Mr Hwang Sung Chol were reelected as a Vice-Chairman and Secretary General of the societies respectively.
In a statement released, a spokesperson said: “Availing itself of this opportunity, the Korea-Oceania Friendship Society would like to assure you of our future commitment to promote the friendly relations and the mutual understandings with peoples from Australia and New Zealand. At the same time, it is our sincere hope that we can be in a closer contact with Australia-DPRK Friendship and Cultural Society and NZ DPRK Society.”
